Government Comprehensive Secondary School, Borikiri Thanks ECL for Monetary Awards

Government Comprehensive Secondary School, Borikiri, Port Harcourt – second-place winners of the 2026 ECL Quiz Competition and recipients of the ₦7,500,000 Boma Erekosima Prize – has written to the Education Champions League to express its gratitude for the monetary awards given to its four students and to the school, and to confirm that the payment has been received in full.

In the letter, the Principal, Mr. Charles Josiah, explains that the award will support students’ families with educational needs such as textbooks, school materials, uniforms and examination fees. The school’s share will go towards repairing broken tables and chairs, fixing water taps so students have clean drinking water, and repairing the leaking roofs of classrooms and the Chapel Hall.

Your generosity has brought great joy to our school community… For these families, your gift is a real relief and a source of hope.

Mr. Charles Josiah, Principal, Government Comprehensive Secondary School, Borikiri
