Enitonna High School, Port Harcourt, has emerged as the leading school in the 2026 Education Champions League (ECL) Quarter-Final Examination, recording the highest average score among participating schools and securing a strong position ahead of the competition’s semi-final stage.
According to the quarter-final results released by the Education Champions League (ECL) committee, Enitonna High School finished first with an average mark of 41 points, ahead of Olive Shoots International School, Port Harcourt, which placed second with 39.25 points.

Government Comprehensive Secondary School, Port Harcourt followed closely in third place with an average score of 39 points, while Federal Government Girls’ College (FGGC), Abuloma, secured fourth position with 38.75 points.
Charles Dale Memorial International School completed the top five after posting an average score of 38.25 points, narrowly edging Brainforte High School, which recorded 37.5 points.
The rankings show a highly competitive contest among schools, with Shepherd International School, Abuloma, finishing seventh on 36.25 points, while Deeper Life High School occupied eighth position with 29.5 points.
Other schools that featured in the quarter-final stage include Trinitate International School, Christie Toby Inclusive Education Centre, Royalcourt Private School, Immaculate Heart College Borikiri, Zivatops International School, Stella Maris College Port Harcourt and Okrika Grammar School.
Beyond academic performance, the examination statistics also highlighted the average time spent by students in completing the assessment. Olive Shoots International School recorded one of the fastest completion times with an average of 8.14 minutes, while Enitonna High School completed the examination in an average time of 9.24 minutes.
Each participating school was represented by four students, making the competition an even contest across the board.
Education stakeholders have commended the initiative for promoting healthy academic rivalry, critical thinking and excellence among secondary school students.
The ECL competition, which continues to gain popularity among schools in Rivers State and beyond, is designed to challenge students’ knowledge and encourage higher academic standards through structured competitive examinations.
With the quarter-final stage concluded, attention now shifts to the semi-finals, where the top-performing schools will battle for a place in the grand finale and the coveted Education Champions League title.
